<> MODE OF ACTION ;
The mode of action of Yeast Cultures in enhancing animal
performance is not fully understood, yet several points
can be made about the feeding of Yeast Culture as a
digestive aid :
* Live Yeast Culture produces
Amylase, Cellulase, Lipase and other digestive enzymes.
* Live Yeast Culture is a source of B-vitamins, Minerals
and Unidentified Growth Factors aiding in nutrition.
* Yeast Culture is highly palatable and stimulates
digestive bacteria found in the gut.
* Yeast assimilates many proteins and secretes essential
amino acids.
* Live Yeast contains important
carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and polypeptides.
* The Live Yeasts contained in Bio-Yeast products are pure
strains of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae grown in purified cane
and beet molasses solutions under the most stringently
controlled chemical, bacteriological and sanitary condition,
resulting in a uniform product of the highest human
foodgrade quality -- these Yeast are not obtained as a by-
product of any other process or manufacture.
* The
biomass for Bio-Yeast is, itself, a rich source of dietary
protein, energy, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, energy
and growth factors, making the biomass a significant
contributor to the overall nutritional value of the bio-
Yeast.
<> CHARACTERISTICS/BENEFITS ;
* DAIRY CATTLE :
Yeast Culture stimulates the rumen by supplying nutrients
to rumen bacteria and producing enzymes which catalyze
rumen fermentation. This assists fiber digestion and feed
utilization. Bio-Yeast products are highly recommended for
addition to calf startersdiet and diets of high-producing
cows.
* BEEF CATTLES : Yeast Culture provides factors
that stimulate appetite and rumen function. It is
particularly recommended for starting rations to get cattle
on feed fast, and will assist feed utilization in finishing
rations and in low quality, high fiber diets.
* SWINE :
Yeast Culture added to starter diets stimulates beneficial
bacteria in the gut and assists digestion by supplying
needed enzymes. By breaking down carbohydrates and protein,
the products will assist digestion in the growing and
finishing stages: in gestation and lactation rations, Yeast
will help maximize nutrient utilization.
* POULTRY ; The
addition of Bio-Yeast products will help ensure performance
during peak production periods and at times of stress. Bio-
Yeast added to chick starter rations will assist digestive
enzymes, lead to better feed utilization and, in turn,
better egg quality. Digestive problems will be lessened in
times of stress.
Currently, there is no product exhibited in Yeast Culture.
